Andrew Lermer, DDS
Dr. Andrew (“Avi”) Lermer has deep roots on Long Island, where he has spent most of his life, including his early years in Fresh Meadows, Queens. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2011.
Following dental school, Dr. Lermer completed a General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he went on to serve as Chief Resident. He further advanced his clinical expertise through North Shore’s fellowship program, receiving specialized training in surgical implant placement and prosthetics, along with extensive hands-on experience under the guidance of leading dental professionals.
Dr. Lermer is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive care and continues to pursue advanced education. His postgraduate training includes programs at the Dawson Academy in Florida and the Spear Institute in Arizona. He currently serves as an attending at North Shore University Hospital, where he mentors and provides hands-on training to dental residents.
Through strong professional relationships with specialists across Long Island’s North Shore, Dr. Lermer ensures a collaborative approach to patient care, helping to deliver optimal treatment outcomes. He maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Society.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Lermer is dedicated to community service. He has been a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for over 20 years, serving both New York City and Nassau County. He currently resides in Northern New Jersey with his family.

Dr. Stuart Shaffren
Dr. Stuart Shaffren earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1977, following his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University.
For over 40 years, Dr. Shaffren provided comprehensive dental care in the Bayside community, building lasting relationships with patients and families across generations. While he has since closed his Bayside office, he now continues his practice in Great Neck, where he cares for both longtime patients and new members of the community.
Dr. Shaffren is known for his gentle approach, warm demeanor, and commitment to high-quality care. He remains dedicated to staying current with advancements in dentistry through ongoing continuing education.
He maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Queens County Dental Society.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Shaffren enjoys skiing and home brewing. He is also actively involved in volunteer work and serves as a dentist with Dental Volunteers for Israel (DVI), providing care to underserved children. But most of all, he values the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
